🏠 Your Home AI Robot — A Friendly Guide (for humans of all ages)
What is this? You have your very own AI helper living on a computer in the cloud.
It's like a robot butler: it can chat, read your files, search the web, run errands,
and do research — and everything it does stays on your own machine. Nobody else
can see it. Cool, right?
Where does it live? On your cloud computer at 187.77.10.11 — with fancy
https:// addresses (the padlock 🔒 ones) so your browser treats it like a real,
safe website.
🚪 The Doors (and what's behind each one)
Use the https:// doors (the 🔒 ones) — they're the safe, official entrances.

💡 First thing to do: in the Chat Room, click your name → Settings →
change your password to something you'll remember. (The ones above are
auto-generated robot passwords — safe, but hard to type!)
🧒 How to use each one (step by step)
1. 💬 The Chat Room (Open WebUI) — your AI pen pal
- Open https://chat.srv1355057.hstgr.cloud in your browser.
- Type the username and password from the table above.
- Type a question in the box at the bottom and press Enter.
- Watch the robot think (you'll see it working through its thoughts) — then it answers.
Handy tricks:
- 📎 Upload a file (paperclip button) and ask questions about it — the robot reads your file and answers from it. This is called RAG, and it works great here!
- 🌐 Let it search the internet: click the search/globe toggle in the chat box before asking. (It works, but results can be a bit generic — see "special instructions".)
- 🎤 Talk to it! The microphone button works now that we have the https:// address. Click the mic, speak, and the robot listens (it types what you say, then answers).
- ❓ Short questions work best. This robot thinks slowly (like a very careful turtle). Give it 30–60 seconds. A 3-word answer beats a 3-page essay.
2. 🎛️ The Control Room (Dashboard)
- Just open https://dash.srv1355057.hstgr.cloud — no password.
- You'll see all the robot's body parts (services) with green/red lights.
Green = happy. Red = sad. If something's red, that's what to tell the assistant about.
- You can restart parts and see which "brain" (model) is running.
3. 🤖 The Robot Workers (n8n)
- Open http://187.77.10.11:5678, log in with the creds above.
- This is where you build automations: "When I get an email, save it to a spreadsheet" —
like robot chores.
- Start with a blank workflow and drag blocks. Don't worry about breaking anything —
it's a test house, but try not to delete things other people made.
4. 🔎 The Research Helper (Perplexica)
- Just open http://187.77.10.11:3004 — no login.
- Ask a research question and it will look things up and write you a little report.
- Uses the same slow brain, so grab a snack while you wait. 🍪
5. 🧙 The Wizard (Hermes) — your personal AI agent (the special one!)
This one is the coolest: an AI that can actually do things — browse websites,
use tools, even run commands on its own (with safety rules).
It has no password. Instead it uses a MAGIC LINK (like a golden ticket):
- Open the Control Room (https://dash.srv1355057.hstgr.cloud).
- Find the Invites page (sometimes called "Owner card" or "Hermes").
- Click Create invite / Owner card — the robot makes a special one-time link.
- Open that link on your phone or computer. It gives you a "golden ticket" (a cookie).
- Now open https://hermes.srv1355057.hstgr.cloud — you're in! 🎩
The magic links now use the proper https:// address automatically, so they work
from anywhere — phone, laptop, whatever.
🛠️ Special instructions for the last few things
- 🐢 The robot is slow — that's normal. Your cloud computer is a small one with no
graphics card, so the brain is small. Rules for happy chatting:
- Keep questions short and simple.
- Don't paste huge documents (long input = very long wait).
- If an answer takes longer than ~3 minutes, something may be stuck — tell the assistant.
- 🎤 Voice works now! Thanks to the https:// address, the mic button in the Chat
Room works. (Microphones are only allowed on secure websites — that's a browser rule,
and we fixed it by adding the padlock.)
- 🎨 Making pictures is turned OFF. The art robot (ComfyUI) needs a graphics card
this box doesn't have, so it was left out to save space. Don't hunt for the image button.
- 🌐 Web search is "okay-ish". The search engines that give the best results
(Google, DuckDuckGo) think our cloud computer is a robot and block it, so we use the
ones that let us in (Bing, GitHub, Wikipedia...). Results can look a bit generic.
The real fix: a free Brave Search API key (2,000 free searches/month) — ask the
assistant to plug it in and search becomes genuinely good.
- 🔒 It's YOUR private robot. Everything you type stays on your box — that's the
whole point of owning it. But treat the URLs and the magic link like house keys:
anyone who has them can use your robot. Don't post them publicly.
- 🔁 If things break: the robot auto-heals (everything restarts itself).
If the chat shows "Connection error" or just nothing happens, the "brain" service
probably needs a nudge — the assistant knows the magic restart command.
- 📝 The passwords above are the "spare keys" — they're stored safely on the server
too (in
/home/ubuntu/ods-env/webui_admin_pw on the machine), so you can always find them.
🚨 Don't-Panic Checklist
Normal things: slow answers, the robot "thinking" out loud, 30–60 second waits,
occasional blank answers when the robot thinks too long.
Call the assistant when: every light in the Control Room is red, the chat gives
"Connection error" that doesn't go away, or an answer takes more than ~3 minutes.
